Centennial Medical Center AHU-7 Replacement

Rock City Mechanical was contracted as the Prime Contractor to replace a chilled water air handling unit serving the kitchen of Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN. RCM was responsible for facilitating the entirety of this project to meet the intent of the ownership group and engineer. This included self-performing demolition of the existing air handler, installation of a temporary air handler, installation of the new air handler, and subcontracting all other trades, including electrical, roofing, fire protection, and HVAC control systems.

This project carried the special challenge of installing a large piece of equipment in an existing crowded mechanical room. RCM was able to complete the project on schedule and minimize the impact on the hospital’s function during the construction process.
